The Friends Need You!

Donations to the Friends can happen in a variety of ways. Here are some:

• Become a member. Contact Grace Haack in the Library District's Administrative Office at (845) 485-3445 x 3306 for further information on becoming a card-carrying member of the Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District.
• Volunteer your time and talents in preparation for or at the Friends book sales. These sales are great community events and offer a variety of opportunities and commitments. Since 2005, these sales have generated over $70,000 in annual support of the Library District's programs and capital expansion needs. Contact FPPLD President Jackie Klein to volunteer or for further information.
• Donate your used books. The Friends accept donations of used reading material at the Arlington Branch Library. Click here for instructions on how to make those donations.
• Contribute to the Annual Appeal. The Friends also sponsor and annual appeal to support the Library District's operating budget. Information on the Annual Appeal is available in the Library or by calling Gareth Davies, Library District Development Officer, at (845) 485-3445 x 3314.
