Children's Museum Passes

Free passes to the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum are available in the Children's Room at the Adriance Memorial Library. You must have a valid library card to use this service. To reserve a pass, please call the Children's Room at (845) 485-3445 x3320.

Parenting Resources

Check out some helpful Parenting Resources on the Web, which include links related to children's development, health issues, homeschooling and safety on the Internet. You'll also find a Suggested Reading List of parenting resources, which includes titles on general parenting issues, and those on special needs children.

Preschooler Learning Center

Preschooler Learning Center logo

The Preschooler Learning Center is located in the Family Partnership at 29 North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie and is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The Center has Discovery Stations that feature areas for 3-5 year-old children and their adult caregivers to participate in directed activities. Sign up now for Fall Session dates September 11 - November 17!

Registration is required for Directed Activity Groups, which are scheduled on Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 10 am & 1:30 pm, and Saturdays at 10 am. No registration is required for Free Play Time on Thursdays at 1:30 pm.

Programs & Events

Ant's Life program

Sign up for our current program offerings for children and teens! Kids' Programs & Events may include storytimes, book clubs, crafts and activities for infants through 8th graders.

Please note that parents and caregivers accompanying children under 8 years old to library programs are expected to remain in the library during the program.

You may also register your three, four and five year olds for PLC Programs & Events at the Preschooler Learning Center, located in the Family Partnership Center at 29 North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie.

 

Teen Programs & Events - For college, for fun and for personal growth - the library has educational and recreational programs for teens in 9th-12th grades. Programs require registration unless otherwise stated.
