Workshop for Women Owned Businesses: Creating Strategic Alliances to Grow Your Business - Part I

Are you ready to accelerate growing your business? Do you want to expand your client base? Are you interested in a different approach to building your business? If you said yes to any of these questions join us for an interactive, informative workshop that will help you take your business to a different level. You will be introduced to a model that will demonstrate the value of strategic business alliances, how to know if you are ready to explore creating business alliances, and how to get started. This is part 1 of a two part series.

Kids' Programs & Events

Kids' Programs & Events may include storytimes, book clubs, crafts, activities, and educational and recreational opportunities for infants through 8th graders. Program registration required unless otherwise stated. Please note that parents and caregivers accompanying children under 8 years old to library programs are expected to remain in the library during the program.

PLC Programs & Events

Preschooler Learning Center logoRegister your three, four and five year olds for PLC Programs & Events at the Preschooler Learning Center, located in the Family Partnership Center at 29 North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie. The Directed Activity Groups program includes the traditional story times, and registration is required during the first week of the session you wish your child to attend. Teen Programs & Events may include book clubs, crafts, activities, and educational and recreational opportunities for 9th through 12th graders. Program registration required unless otherwise stated.

TAG -Teen Advisory Group

Tues., April 8, 6:30 - 7:30 pm ADR

Help select summer programs, choose books and more for teens at the library. Volunteer to help set up the teen art contest in May and earn community service hours for school. Pizza will be served.

DDR & Gaming Night

Fri., April 18, 6 - 7:30 pm ARL

Check out DDR on the big screen. computers will be on the tables to challenge you and your opponent

Your First Job

Thurs., April 24, 6:30 - 8 pm ADR

A hands-on event for teens who would like help getting your first job. Write a resume, search different media for job listing, and be part of a mock interview. This workshop will be led by Career Specialist Mary Linacre.
